Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear golden. Fruity nose with orange, grass and notes of chlorine. Fairly sweet with rounded oily mouthfeel and medium body. Fruity, stale hay and bread. Really bitter finish.

Hand-pulled pint in the newly refurbished Pheasant Inn, Wellington Shropshire on 16th May 2014. Golden and clear, disappointing head of thin white bubbles that fell away immediately to a wisp and collar. Pretty boring blend of bitterness, not a lot going on in the aroma or flavour stakes. Expected more from a beer named after a naval aircraft, brother to the more famous Spitfire.

On cask @ Cloisters. Appearance - pale golden with a nice head and some haze. Nose - some herbs, some lemon and oranges. Taste - definitely orangey with more greener notes on the finish. Palate - light to medium bodied, with a creamy texture though it doesn’t quite clean on the finish as much as a typical Highland beer. Overall - a solid pale/golden ale.
