Sampled at 8th Danish Ratebeer Gathering, Ulfborg 2015, day 2. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium sized light brown head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, wood, roast. Don’t get much of the bourbon in the aroma. Taste malts, wood, roast, bourbon comes through though not as prominently as I had expected, firm bitterness. Dry roast finish with some wood in there. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. I somehow don’t really fancy it.

12/13/9/12/12/12

650 ml bottle, purchased at Winooski Beverage Warehouse. Pitch black with a decent carbonation level. Aroma is heavy roast, coffee grinds and mild ash.

Flavor big on roast, ashy like texture with a high level coffee bitterness. Nice coffee throughout the sip. Bourbon is here but a touch on the mild side. Overall a nice Impy stout.

Bomber. Pitch black 2 finger head that faded fast. Smells pretty darn good. classic Imperial stout notes. Fudgy, woody and boozy. taste is great. thick, maybe the bitterness is a bit too much but that should fade with time. The coffee infusion here rocks. Great and well crafted.
