A dark & very flavoursome ale with a gentle warming spice. To be enjoyed especially during those colder evenings.

Bottle at home, 07/04/19. Clear golden copper with a decent off white head. Nose is sweet malts, raisins, stewed fruits, winter cheer, mixed spice. Taste comprises dried fruits, balanced spice rack, toffee, fruit loaf, raisins, brown sugar dusting. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Ok for the style.

50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Bottle conditioned, but pouring bright amber with a ring of translucent head and leaving a thin yeast deposit on the bottom of the bottle; aroma of mulled spices - cinnamon and cloves to the fore; rich and smooth in the mouth with a malty bodied, the spices are quite subtle and warming. A well balanced winter ale.
