The bottle opens with a flying cork, a loud bang and an angry wife. Cherry aroma, some oak and just a bit dusty. Nice mix between a cherry sweetness and some sourness with all the characteristics of a real kriek. Lemon, cherry pits, dust. Nice and relatively easy going traditional kriek. Good, but with some room for improvement.

Dark ruby with off white bit pinkish head. Sour cherries, nice fruit tartness, medium+ acidity, some barrel. Medium bodied. 8/4/8/4/17

From a small sample shared by vinivini at Eric the Red in Moscow. Pours clear red with a pink-tinged head. Aroma is sour cherry, funky notes. Taste is moderate sourness, natural cherry juice, almonds. A beautiful thing.

28.11.2023: 0,75l bottle at home. Vintage 2018. deep red color, small off-white head. smells cherry notes, cherry pits, stone fruits, funky, earthy, breadish notes. lovely smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes cherry notes, grassy, citric, earthy, cherry pits, spices, subtle vanilla & cinnamon. finishes lightly dry and lightly sour with notes of spices, cherries and citric notes. very nice one, intense cherry notes, so smooth, loved the spices, great stuff.

Sampled @ BXL Beerfest 2018. A clear dark purple reddish beer with a small purple head. Aroma of red berries, tart red fruits, cherries, lactic fruits. Taste of tart fresh cherries, lactic fruits, red grapes, easy to drink, nice.

Dark ruby body, with a medium, frothy, pink head.
Aroma with lots of smooth, sweet, a bit sour cherries, moderate wood, moderate funk.
Tastes similar, with the cherries slightly more sour.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a quite fizz carbonation.
Finishes smooth, moderate dry, a bit wooden, moderate sour, with lots of lingering cherries.

Tasty. Really beautiful cherry notes throughout, with just enough funk and wood for a good depth. Lovely Kriek, one of my favourite De Cams so far.
