Schramm’s Ginger is a full-throated, unapologetic expression of pure grated ginger and honey. Honey sweetness is balanced by full ginger flavor with a touch of spiciness, making this mead a perfect choice to pair with spicy Indian, Ethiopian or Thai cuisine, grilled Korean mackerel or flavorful sushi and sashimi. It also pairs well with dark chocolate and is a great addition to a whiskey ginger cocktail or a moscow mule. Batch Information Unavailable for Standard Line-Up

RBWG14 Trip Rating #97. Bottle shared by jackl at the Grand Tasting. Pours a clear pale yellow color, moderate legs. Aroma of heavy ginger, earth, citrus and honey. The taste is strong ginger notes, honey, citrus. Medium bodied, slight heat. Awesome if you love ginger, which I don’t.

Bottle thanks to my mom! Pours a clear pale yellow with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a good amount of ginger that matches well with a sweet honey note. Flavor starts with sweet honey that has a bit of dry touch in the finish a nice ginger note. Drinks nicely.

Sample courtesy of JPDurden24 and a bottle courtesy of my sister 15_2_Kuhnhenn. It pours with a clear watery body that has a light yellow tint to it and it creates some nice legginess around the inside of the glass. The aroma offers up bright ginger and then smooth honey sweetened ginger followed by a honey note that carries a vague fruitiness along with it. The taste is smooth sweet yummy honey goodness that has tempered and blunted the ginger into a slick even inviting note. It is like the smooth honey notes have filled in every gap around the spiky ginger flavor peaks leaving a silky smoothness that I’m really enjoying. I’m not a fan of ginger anything but in this smooth subtle rich fashion . . . this works. Wow!
