Pulling Nails is an ongoing experiment in the art of blending to create sour and wild ales of extraordinary depth, complexity and balance. Blend #2 is the union of some of our favorite spontaneous, wild and sour blond beers that were fermented in and aged in wine barrels for three months to two and a half years.

Bottle shared during the first Late Nite session of RBWG 2015. Pours hazy yellow with a white cream topping. Big tart lemon aroma, some funk, a bit of farm. Light sweet flavor with over-the-top sour bite, bracing acidity, tart lemons. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Strong acidity on the finish, more zippy lemons. Tasty and somewhat refreshing but the sourness is, quite simply, way overblown.

Bottle thanks to Adam shared at Six Ten. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head. The aroma is strong apricot and funk. Thin mouth with strong tropical fruit, light brett, tart finish, really impressive.
