A golden coloured, light bodied continental style beer. The liberal addition of Saaz hops provides an initial fresh and zesty flavour in coalition with Styrian Goldings providing late aromas.

500ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Sultanas, biscuity malt and a hint of spice in the aroma. Biscuity malt, spice and dried apricot in the taste. Quite nicely balanced.

Bottle at CGarvie tasting. It pours clear pale yellow with a small white head. The nose is sweet pale malt, spice, ginger and leaf. The taste is dough, pithy citrus, spice, ginger and sweet pale malt with a very dry finish. Lightish body and fine carbonation. The ginger isn’t really as punchy as you’d expect with this name. Not much to it....

Bottle from Tomlinsons Beer Shop, Inverness 081212
Light amber, clear, frothy white head with some lacing
Aroma - light sweet pale malts, faint aroma
Taste - light pale caramel malts, soft cereal malts, very light spicy hops, mellow flavour, delicate hint of honey, indistinct trace of chimerical ginger, soft and undemanding.
Palate - soft carb, light body. Finish as main flavour, smooth soft fairly sweet cereal malt, more flavour in the lingering soft finish
Overall - Soft mellow mellow beer, it’s made for easy drinking. Should be under the Golden Ale category.
