Very dark brown with a thick beige head. The nose is roasted malt, earth, spice, leather, cocoa and caramel. The taste is roasted malt, toast, earth, decent bitterness, cocoa and some underlying caramel sweetness with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Very drinkable and really well balanced. HDM’s best beer to date.

cask at the bow ... deep brown ... thin tan head ... soft sweet dark fruit roast nose... light dry roast front ... darksmooth toffee malts.
