Taster at the brewpub, 10 euros. 5.6% a very dark brown with a reddish tinge at the edges. Nice rich chocolate aroma with some kind of spice note, possibly cinnamon. Great mouthfeel, smooth as silk. Chocolate at first and some roast coffee in the finish. Excellent stuff for just 5.6%, again not complex but just an extremely well made porter. My fav so far.

Flaske 0,5l fra Alko Muonio. Drukket hjemme 12 Des 12. Svart. Høyt & pent luftig skum med litt farge. Varer en stund. Beskjeden kaffearoma. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken er overraskende vassen. Med litt godvilje finner en litt tørr kaffe i ettersmaken. 0 kullsyre.

500 ml bottle. Pours black with a thin off-white head. Mild roasted malt and coffee, as well as notes of raisins, liqourice and beef stock (or roasted/smoked beef) in the aroma. Moderate, long bitter flavour and light sweetness. Medium body, thin texture and soft carbonation, with a long, quite bitter finish. An ok porter.

A black beer with a weak and beige head. Aroma is quite mild, but balanced, roastiness, dark chocolate and weird overcooked bananas. Taste is roasted, coffee, some bitterness in the aftertaste. Simple but functional taste. Smooth, medium bodied, low carbonation. Succesfull and enjoyable Porter, balanced and tastefull.

Aroma has some licorice, coffee and ash. Flavour has licorice, some peat, coffee and hints of chocolate. Ashy finish with hints of salt. Decent, but I expected more.
