Flaske 0,5l fra Alko Muonio med riv-av-kork. Drukket hjemme 3 Des 11. Dypbrun/amber. Høyt luftig skum som daler sakte og blir nesten helt borte. OK aroma med svakt røykpreg. Smaken er også litt røyk etterfulgt av syrlig bitter frukt. Litt tam, tørr avslutning. Sikkert OK til mat. KI=7

50cl bottle. Poured brown with thin white head. High carbonation. Aroma is smoke and ryebread. Flavor is similar, very malty, with weak smokiness and typical house flavor getting stronger as the beer gets warmer. Not very convincing, quite boring.

Quickly disappearing head with big bufbbles and ugly, brown and murky colour. Aroma has smoke, ginger and some metal. Flavour has smoke, rye, spices, baking yeast and some Laitila house flavour. Metal in the finish. I didn’t like this on tap and I don’t like the bottle either. Simply too malty and sweet.

Dark brown beer with a almost medium and blond head. Aroma is quite mild, roastiness, some smoke and ryebread. Taste is slightly rough, roasted, slightly smoky and quite long and roasted aftertaste. Taste is also quite mild as aroma. Quite light to drink with biting carbonation. This beer don’t convince me, too mild and shy, more smoke would be also great.

Clear copper brown color, small beige head. Light sweetish, smokey aroma. Crisp carbonation. Light to medium bodied. Sweetish caramel malty backbone, Bamberg-style smokey malts and ham in the flavor. Quite short finish, some hops there. Ok clean rauchbier, can’t trace much rye here.

Half from keg at Kitty’s Public House. Creamy, tiny white head. Nice, golden-brown body, very clear. Aroma of mid-sweet malts along with a toned down smokey touch. Subdued taste of smoked malts. Dry on the swallow with hints of bitterness (pub crawl in Helsinki, 06.02.2011).

(Draught at Hilpeä Hauki) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had tar, rye porridge and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, malts, tar, smoke, rye porridge, metallicness, hops and bitterness. Afrtertastr was malty, smoky, salty and bitter. I found the flavours and the scents too mild and smooth for this type of beer.

Draught@Gastropub Nordic, Tampere. Amber colour, mediumsized creamy beige head that leaves nice lace. Aroma is rye, some mild toasted malts as well as caramel and some mild nuttyness. Flavour is rye, mild nuttyness, rather sweet maltyness as well as some very slight smoked notes. Pleasantly balanced.
