Draught @ Akkurat on September 30. Pours black with a grayish brown head. Smell is sweet with vanilla and some chocolate. Taste is malty with dried fruit, some vanilla and a little bit of freshly chopped wood.

Draft @ Akkurat, Stockholm. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a hard roasted malty chocolate and coffee aroma. Roasted malty chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

On tap at Bishops Arms, Sundbyberg in June 2011. Dark brown with a small, tan head. Descent aroma and taste. Toffee, some coffee, licorice, roasted malt and chocolate. Not heavy but very drinkable.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Pours black with medium light/tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and dark fruits with some chocolate and coffee. Flavour matches aroma aspects with malt being the strongest, and a little licorice in the background (Rated 2011/04/20)

Draft at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan. Very dark maroon, huge brown head. Aroma of chocolate liqueur, licorice. Taste is light licorice and burnt caramel candy. Nice.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 5 March 2011) Black colour with frothy, pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of dark rye bread, raisins, coffee and dark chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with dark fruit, ashes, coffee, chocolate and a mild coffee bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slightly burnt sweetness. Nice and tasty porter.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Very dark brown, beige head. Slight coffee aroma. Mid dry with medium body and spritzy mouthfeel. Mild coffee flavour, some tobacco and licorice wakes up as it warms. Fairly low bitterness. A subtle, well balanced porter.
