Servida en su cáliz, color marrón-rubí oscuro, espuma densa de media retención. Aroma dulzón, malta, levadura, frutos secos, dátiles, ciruelas pasas...Bastante plena en boca, compleja, oleosa, final largo y seco, ligero toque ácido pese a su dulzor. Notas de ciruelas, dátiles, nueces , canela, avellanas...Mejora en fragancia y matices gustativos conforme va cogiendo temperatura en la copa. En definitiva, un pedazo de cerveza.

Bottle at Hops, Crewe – served with correct glass. Pours a deep ruby red with minimal cream head. Aroma has plums and dates plus hints of alcoholic strength. In the mouth it is viscous, fruity and slightly sweet. Flavour has raspberry jam and dried fruit, with traces of chocolate and candy coming through later. Finish is dry and fruity. This is awesome – I was gobsmacked !

Bottle, online from Beer Sniffers. Pours murky mahogany brown with a foamy beige cap. Aroma: dried fruits, plums, caramel, brown sugar. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, rich, dry, dark fruits, dried fruits, plums, caramel, brown sugar. Medium to full body with a foamy carbonation.
