For this speciality, we use old and young lambic beer that has aged in our oak casks. When the lambic is 6 months old, we add 25% black cherries. This provokes the second fermentation. We then clarify, filter and bottle it.
The cherries and young lambic create a red beer that is both natural and fresh, with an absolutely unforgettable sweet and sour taste. This is kriek as it should be, with nothing but real cherries and lambic. There is no place for artificial colourings or flavourings.

375ml bottle. Pours deep red with a pink head. Cherry, sweet cherry, little herbal, yoghurt, blackberry, blackcurrant, toast, bit of funk. Nice soft fizzy body. Nice.

24/08/2018 - draught glass @ Omega, Brussels. Thick red colour, tanned head. Nose is cherry, candy. Taste is cherry, bit syrupy sweet but not that sticky, however I prefer them with a bit sourness.

Tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. Now, of course this is a very tasty beer. The thing is it is tasty in the same way that cherry gummy sweets are. Very sweet but tasty.
