Cask handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, Tuesday 31st July 2012 Pours amber rather than gold there is a slim white head. Very malty but with a metallic twang initially; however this tinny twang soon departs. Heavy bitter toffee flavours and a goodly oomph to this. It’s pleasant, touch simple perhaps but nothing wrong with that if it is ok and this is better than ok. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3
