Pours a hazy, intense orange, with at most one finger of large meshed white head. Quick to dissipate, no lacing. The aroma is (nicely) on the soft side of the style, though weaker than expected: moderate sourness (softly citric and slightly acetic) with notes of tangerine, lemon, maybe apple and the slightest hint of vinegar. Nice funky complexity, with leather and a barnyardy feel most noticeable. Feels brighter/more vivid in taste. Neutral malty base, moderate sourness (softly citric, slightly acetic), taste notes as per aroma. Nice sweet/sour balance in the mouth, with a pretty dry (almost tannic) finish that leaves a clean mouth. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation, a simple and easy but nicely vivid mouthfeel. Overall this was very enjoyable and quite easy to drink, with a nice funky complexity to it.
Solo, Great aroma, funky, floral, cheese, barnyard, mild tartness, woody and dry, nice stuff.

Bottle 37.5cl. Caged and corked, bought October 2014, bbd 10/2015 @home poured into a tumbler. Geuze nose. Brilliant medium amber colour, good frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing, thin layer remains.
Aroma brett, lemon peel, wood, vinegar. Taste medium sweet and sour, brett, light lemon peel, light vinegar, wood. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, dry sweet and sour aftertaste, lingering woody notes, light mineral notes, well-balanced, chewy, excellent.
Clearing out an older bottle to make room for some new ones. Still a hint young but delicious nonetheless 😻

Subtle pop, slightly cloudy orange, lots of very fluffy off-white head. Smell is funk, dried lemon peel, oak. Quite highly carbed, not super light. Taste is very dry, oaky, some good sourness and plenty of mineralicity. Pleasantly balanced.

Oude Geuze Bottle very kindly shared by Gunther B. ! Presumably 2005 vintage ( not 100 % sure as I didn't keep the cork :/ ) Pours a clear, darkened gold. Scmall to no head. Scent is mushroomy, old wood. A bit past it's prime here. The taste however... Is amazing. Fully matured acidity, very aromatic, bready and fruity. Slightly acetic features (very mild) . Absolutely stunning complex and long finish. A true gem !
Jesuz Christ! Seawater, citrus, cheese and pretty much almost all you’d ever want from anything ever.
Nose: straight apple cider vinegar. Palate: tart apple juice
