Bottle from Beerdome. Aroma is dark chocolate, roast, candy syrup, liquorice, and some notes of fruits. Flavour is quite sweet in a candy sugar kinda way with alcohol. Body is medium to full. Nice but very sweet and a bit disappointing for the style.

Pours super dark brown, settles pitch dark, one of the blackets imp stouts ive had in a while, large brown smooth head that soon disappears.Aroma is nutty, roasted malty, faint licorice, faint sort of spicy note, very complex, some half-weird notes probably from the wood or the candi-syrup. In general a great imp stout aroma. flavor is roasted malts and licorice, faint charred wood, faint sort of slightly citrus fruity note, like lime, a fantastic aftertaste that is way roasted malty and hard roasted malty. Easy drinking and quite likable flavor, even with the sort of citrussy note (maple syrup).

Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk. Appearance - opaque black with an olive sheen. Fawn head. Nose - tar, liquorice, dried black fruit, black olives, soy sauce and light salty wood. Taste - molasses, salty liquorice and black olives and dried fruit. Palate - medium bodied and rich in texture. Long, dry finish. Overall - really complex and interesting.

16oz can pours a thick black, tan head that faded fast. Nose perfumes with licorice when the can pops, molasses, chocolate, burnt toast. Flavor has more, chocolate and dried cherry, malt, licorice, molasses, smoke. Full bodied, off dry finish.
