Bottled. Deep brown colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is toasted, roasted, some ashes, mild coffee as well as some slight berry notes. Flavour is berries, some roasted notes, mild spices as well as some chocolate and mild nutty notes. All of this in a somewhat slight tartish way (feels like it's from the dark malts, rather than an infection).

Dark brown opaque beer. Tidy pale tan head. Light palate, a little soft and a little dry. Very tangy porter, almost sour. Trace of coffee. Tart fruits with raspberry and cherry. Finishes with dark malt, molasses and a trace of dark chocolate. Very tangy porter!

Bottle at home 5% Porter Number 36 in the Beer competition bottles that made it to GBBF, so from my GBBF 2011 haul ... sweet roast malt ... soft cherry nose... little sourness ... soft roast ... dark malts ... loads of fruit ...

Pitch black color and the nose erupts of .... melted margerine, dark chocolate and black currents. Med-mouth, rich creamy margerine and black currents. Way too lactic for anyone to appreciate.
