Fresh, sharp, refreshing golden ale. Using the best new generation hops, including the fantastic “Chinook”. It has a subtle malt background, intense hop flavours and a bitter, fruity, citrus finish.

On tap @ the Royal Dunkeld Hotel. Pours a pale hazy colour with a decent head. the nose has flowers and a little lemon. The taste has lemon and grapefruit. The palate is light to medium in body and well balanced. Another example of why this style comes across well on cask.

Cask at CBI, London on 14th June 2013. Gold with thin white ring and no lacing. Rich, malty aroma with berries. Lightly hoppy in-mouth with exquisite woodsmoke and biscuit malt. Grassy finish with bitter notes and smokiness.

Cask @ JDW Elgin [090613]
Sharp zesty hoppy nose, taste of sharp lemon zest, grapefruit zest, touch of grass. Bitter zesty palate with some lingering bitterness. Yes...it’s better 3.2 > 3.6
Cask @ Mash Tun, Aberlour [180513]
Golden, clear, thin white head, some lacing
Aroma of light fruity citrus hops, light pale fruity malts
Taste of fairly bitter zesty hops, light pale fruits, getting a slight smoky note(?)
Palate - Light to medium body, soft oily texture. Finish is bitter, rather dry
Overall - I had Trade Winds earlier in the evening - some aspects of that I could taste in this. I’d like to try this again
