Lemongrass, grapefruit peel, orange flesh nose, solid malt backbone. Cloudy orange, thick head, good lacing, some floaties. Juicy orange upfront, lemongrass is prominent throughout, finishes a bit like chewing gum, slightly minty and grassy. Good transitions and balance. Not mind blowing, but very well executed.

Hazy amber with a lasting white head. Toffee malty aroma with citrus hops and a touch of peach. Dry malty flavour of bread crust and toffee, with a hint of citrus and a decent bitterness. A touch of alcohol also

Draught @ 3 Små Rum. Pours hazy amber with a creamy white head that clings to the glass while dissipating. Smell is fresh and hoppy with grass, pine, oranges, grapefruit, ripe peaches and lots of gummi candy. Taste is sweet, bitter and fresh with grass, orange zest, pine, wood, resin and gummi candy. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and very balanced. Finish is slightly dry and bitter with pine and tropical fruits.

Bottle at home. Hazy amber colour with a big frothy, almost creamy, head that lasts. Fruity hops in the aroma along with some bready notes. More fruity hops in the mouth, grapefruit. Medium to heavy lasting bitterness. Slick mouthfeel. Overall a very tasteful beer with a nice balance. A pleasant hop lash.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks Dagan. Clear copper-amber color with a big white head. Hoppy aroma of flowers and tropical fruits. Flavor has light sweetness and a moderately bitter floral hops finish. Medium-bodied. Very nice.

Aroma: Flowery notes, strong smell of pine needles.

Appearance: For an IPA, it is a rather intimidating brown colour. Dense, very cloudy. Large rocky head. Yeast particles visible.

Taste: Well balanced. Malt and spice flavours, with just a hint of orange zest. Delicious.

Palate: Medium bodied. Despite being 7.5% ABV, the alcohol does not dominate. Sharp, dry finish.

Overall: A complex IPA and one that I have been meaning to try for a while. This is an excellent (if rather pricey) beer, though a little too ’dark’ to be one of my favourites.

Bottle from The Cask, Glasgow.
Appearance - Dark golden amber, hazy. Superb, big, rich, frothy off-white head with good lacing.
Aroma - Citrus hops, grapefruit, light grassy hop backbone, wet straw, some sweetness, quite complex.
Taste - Complex citrus hops with grapefruit, orange zest, other citrus fruits, some resin caramel malts, bit of biscuit, honey, sweet malts. Gorgeous flavour.
Palate - Medium body, oily and a bit sticky, soft carb, smooth, bitter juicy complex citrus finish which doesn’t linger.
Overall - A wonderfully good complex IPA. Very well crafted, with world-class flavour and palate. I was very very impressed! Must be one of the best IPAs in the world.
