No other Norwegian beer has won more international prizes than our Porter. We always include it in our tastings and it has turned many a ”lager lover” on to craft beer. It has a silky smooth mouthfeel with hints of coffee and chocholate. Good with classic stews, but mindblowing with dark chocolate!

Bottle. Brewtique, Macclesfield. Clear, dark ruby red. Halo of tan head. Chocolate raisins. Cocoa powder. Light smoke. Taste is bonfire toffee sweet. Ashy dry. Light bitter. Palate is smooth, rich, although a little over carbonated. Finishes ashy dry, and cocoa sweet.

Pyszny porter, nie ma co sie przygladac i pod swiatlo sprawdzac. Bo to czern nieprzepuszczajaca promieni, wielka ciemno bezowa piana wyrasta jak drozdze w piekarniku. Jest srednio trwala. Alkoholu sie nie wyczuwa, ale za to wspaniale smakowalo z Belgijskimi truflami. Sporo akcentow czekolady gorzkiej, deserowej. Troche kakao, bardzo polecam bo to dobry i uczciwy porter.

Bottle, stored two years. Black, tan head. Aroma has roasted malt, hints of smoke, ground coffee. Flavour is full bodied, round, smooth, with dark fruit, sweet coffee. Perfectly balanced bitterness. Long, sticky finish.

Bottle. Aroma smoke, roasted, alcohol. Clear dark brown colour. Taste is malt-centered, but there is decent supporting bitterness. Smoked, chocolate, light light coffee. Overall smooth mouthfeel, no astringency, very easy drinking. Very good beer, long roasted finish.

Bortimot svart farge med beige skum. Lukter kaffe, karamell og svisker. Fyldig og nydelig i munnfølelse. Kaffe og fruktigheten kommer godt fram i smaken. Fin bitter avslutning. En meget god porter.

Bitter charcoal aroma with some dark dried fruits. Smooth, easy to drink. A very fruity taste with some hints of blackcurrant amongst the bitter, roasted malts. Very full flavoured but also very easy to drink.

Bottle from Gooden Taipei. Light black pour with fluffy tan head. Sticky lacing. Coffee and chocolate aroma. Flavor is bright hops at the beginning then roasted coffee flavor. Very nice to have such hoppiness in this sort of porter. Palate is a bit lighter than ideal for this type of beer I think. Dry bitter finish with a bit of coffee and booze. Very nice porter.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with rocky but stable light tan head. Dark aroma of coffee, chocolate, malt and liquorice. Dark flavour of malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Sweetish aftertaste with notes of coffee beans. Very nice.
