Served in a can, it has a reddish color with a hop/malt balance. Somehow the two seem to be fighting it out rather than working on harmony though.

Can with a big thanks to Steveoj for this one. Pours out amber topped with a sand head. Nose is caramel malts bread malts and a candy note. Taste is more of the caramel sweetness rich malts and a nice candy end.

Can. Courtesy of Cuso. Aroma is hoppy, light fruity, light light diacetyl. Lightly hazy amber colour. Taste is slightly watery. Flowery hops, light to moderate bitterness, light light maltiness. Light body. Balanced finish. Enjoyable in its own way.

One of my very few from Memory, and the only one im going to rate from Red Rooster (as its the one i remember best), on Honeymoon at Sams dive resort ... One overriding memory was it was over fizzy like nealy all US beer id had at that point. Colour was Amber as you would expect for a beer of this name. As for what the beer was like, i remember thinking it was up there with the best of the US beers id tried on my previous trip to the states (where i tried about 30 different beers but have no idea what they were, though some were bear republic) All told i really quite enjoyed it. So much so we bought a red Rooster t-shirt that we still have :-)

I was pretty impressed with this amber. Fresh floral and fruit notes in the nice aroma. The flavor is a bit lacking compared to the aroma, but not bad. Citrus, lemon, and orange, with light hop bitterness. Pretty solid.

Med amber color. A slightly grassy nose, with hints of strawberries and cherries. Medium full bodied with solid malt backbone. Shows signs of lemon and strawberries. Malt just kinda lingers at the end. Not as hoppy as a US amber, but still fairly solid.
