Remarkably easy to drink for its strength, this porter is low in bitterness and feels like silk on the throat! A vastly complex palette with a huge amount of flavours that hit you one after the other - this is one to savour!

Gravicask at Plymouth Camra Beer Festival 2016. Patchy layer, dotted spots on the glass, cola black in the glass. Smell of chocolate, hints of dark fruits. Blended taste of blackcurrant and chocolate malts. Rounded roasted endnotes. Well made porter. (Shared with Finn, 23.09.2016).

Tasting at Mes and Sims flat. Opaque dark brown beer. Soft palate. Rich and malt with mild roast. Not much else. Dry finish. Okay.

Bottle at MesandSim’s tasting Aug 09. BCA. Black, thick rocky beige head. Some BCA earthyness on aroma. Some ok choc in mouth, not huge depth, but the swallow carries onto the finish. well. Not huge flavours on finish. Decent enough, some grainy choc on finish.
