Flaska@Radisson Bryssel. Blekgul och grumlig vätska med tjock skumkrona. Doftar uteslutande godisbananer. Pepprig smak med ytterligare godisbananer. Men va f-n det är ju känslan att prova en belgare på plats!

*Old rating, best before 20-07-07. Süßlich-trübes Witbier. Leicht süßlich-fruchtig, Hauch von Zitrone, trockener-witbiertypisch werdend, mild, hefig. nicht zu trocken. Nett.

250ml bottle. Cloudy pale colour with thin head. Aroma is citrus and wheat. Taste is dried citrus peel and lots of coriander. More Hoegaarden than Hoegaarden.

Probably the first whole beer I tried when I was allowed to. Pours cloudy yellow with a minimal white head that disappears quickly. The aroma contains bread, hay, wheat, some citrus and banana. Light fruity sweet and light wheaty sour, spicy back; dry, wheaty finish; quenching. Light body, slick to watery texture, soft carbonation. Basic but pleasant enough. (Edited 20/5/18)

Classic Hoegaarden-style standard witbier since 1983, first made by Gouden Boom as Brugs Tarwebier / Blanche de Bruges, since 2003 made by Palm, which changed the named into simply ’Brugs’. Milky, snow white head over an ochre yellow blonde, misty beer; refreshing character of obviously sourish wheat, dried citrus peel and lots of coriander, a bit more so than in Hoegaarden Witbier. Sweetish bready malts are well balanced with sourish wheat and spices, soft and elegant mouthfeel; very thirst-quenching and a bit tastier than Hoegaarden but still a very stereotypical wit.

Troebel lichtgeel bier zonder schuim. Smaak is fris zuur en fruitig, citrus, kaneel. Blijft redelijk lang hangen. Uitstekend witbier.
