Aroma: Weak aroma of wood, dark fruits and wet straw.
Appearance: Clear amber body with a small white head. Very light carbonation. Slight lacing.
Taste: Caramel and leather flavours with a sharp, bitter finish. Not very interesting.
Palate: Thin body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation.
Overall: A bit bland and dull. I wouldn’t want to drink more than one in a sitting.

Cask at 2011 Deeside Beer Festival (now at 3.8%). It pours hazy amber with a thin foamy white head and low carbonation. The nose is cheese, farmyard and wood. The taste is astringent, wood, metal, soap, light lemon and moderate bitterness, finishing with wood and metal. Bog standard bitter.
