Brewed for the 5 year anniversary of BeerTemple, Amsterdam. American North-West double IPA 8% abv, 75ebu, 15ebc with 5 hops for each year BeerTemple: simcoe, chinook, citra, amarillo & columbus.

The Big Fat 5 is the housebeer for the BeerTemple but also available at the other Morebeer Bars; Proeflokaal Arendsnest, 'cause BEER loves FOOD and Craft & Draft.

To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the BeerTemple, we asked Robbert Uyleman of Brewery ’t Uiltje to make an IPA with us for this special occasion! Dry-hopped to the bone, and as fresh as it can be! Straight from the tank into the kegs, transported with a refrigerated truck and into our own fridge, this IPA will never lose his bitter coolness before you start drinking...

Can from Deconinck. Hazy golden-orange with a small, frothy, white head. Aroma of hard cheese, dank pineapple, honey, orange peel, stale lime, grapefruit juice, pine, hashish. Taste has sweet tangerine, mango & melon; cheesy, yeasty, honey-malty body with bitter grapefruit juice & some pine. Floral-earthy hoppy finish, dank grapefruit & tangerine peel, noticeable spicy alchol. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Lovely drinkable DIPA!

Can from Marko, thanks a lot! Cloudy, mudden color and a nice white head. Ripe tropical and floral aroma. Taste starts with caramel, lots of fruits and a hoppy flavor. Full body, fruity and piny. Bitter-sweet and long lasting hoppy finish.

Smell of hops, raw fruit. Hazy amber colour, white head. Aroma of spruce, grapefruit peel, some tropical fruit in finish. Starts off very barbed bitter, smoothens later. Notes of herbs also. Fizzy carbon. Rather light body for this ABV.

An light orange beer, a head is small and blond. Aroma has grapefruit, lime, low mango and fructose. Taste has strong grapefruit, medium bitterness, hint of herbs in the end. Medium bodied. Could be fresher, but whatever, a good beer.

On tap at Proeflokaal Arendsnest, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out big resinous hops, a little pine, some stone fruits, and caramel bready malt. Flavour is more of the same, with a big wallop of resinous hops, and just enough caramel malt to back. Very expertly balanced, even if a bit more on the malty side for my tastes. Excellent.
