Cask handpull at The Belvedere, Liverpool. First beer of day 2 of my weekend in Liverpool and not a very promising start. Copper colour, thin off white head. Some fruit, some diacetyl, syrupy in mouth, some hop on end. Not my kind of beer. Some spice in there perhaps. Spice and butter. Nasty. If it wasn’t for The Kinks best of, in the background, I would have left. Oh and the Higson’s Stout which was next.
