Cask handpull at JDW, Samuel Peto, Folkestone. Brown lasting beige head. It’s a bit sweet and some sugar on the aroma. Ugh, not sure what to make of this. It’s like a bitter with sherbert added. Pretty horrible to be honest. NO bad or horrible falvours, it just tastes like a bitter with sugar stirred into it. Pretty bad.

Cask-conditioned at the Knight Templar (JDW), Bristol 28/10/09. My first beer of the Wetherspoon’s autmun 2009 festival and it was pretty good. Deep amber in colour with a moderate off-white head. Caramel, red fruit and floral hop aroma. Flavoured started with some sweet malts, decent orange blossom hops and a moderately bitter finish. Drinkable.

[Gravity cask at Sweetcorn Fayre, Arreton Barnes, Isle of Wight] Chestnut with a moderate creamy head. Good sweet malt and treacle flavour is balanced by bitter yet floral hops in the aftertaste. Good stuff.
