Inspired by an old Celtic word for Beer, “Curmi/Cuirim”, this delightfully refreshing wheat beer echoes the Celtic heritage of the region where it is brewed today. Curim has a higher hop rate than the mainstream wheat beers which leaves a slight tart residue, enough to balance the delicate fruity flavours of peach, banana and plum.

500 ml bottle. A clear golden body with a small white head. Light aroma of malt and soapy kind of spices. Flavor is sweet malt, slightly spicy and dloral with some kind of harsh bitterness. Plain, drinkable but not the best sample of a wheat and rather boring also.

Bottle. An almost clear one, golden in color and with a small, off-white head. Biscuity pale malts, grass, and some flowery hoppyness in the aroma. The flavor is mostly malty, with some grassy notes and a decent bitterness. Medium body and a decent carbonation. Bitter finish with some caramel. A decent, flawless beer, but it’s oh so boring. 140118

Light haze on this gold beer, little white head. Palate is crisp. Papery pale malt, dry. Forensic trace of citric hop. Minerally crisp finish. Way too papery.

Bottle from Tesco, Carrick-on-Shannon [060814]
Aroma of light bit sweet pale malts, slight pale fruits. Taste of soft sweet pale malts, soft bitter hops, slightly buttery honey, some soft cereals, slight fruits, hint of spicy hop, rather bland. Finish has some slightly dry cereal. Overall - Probably a conversion beer for lager drinkers, but I find it rather boring. Up to 2.7

Golden, clear, thin white head
Aroma - Lager malts, some grain, very little aroma
Taste - Light pale caramel, hint of honey, lager-like flavour, slight fruits
Palate - Soft carb, light to medium body. Finish as main flavour
Overall - Hmmm....not great but drinkable

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with huge, firm, frothy, minimally lacing, white head. Wheaty and decent fruity aroma. Taste is minimally sweet wheaty, unspecific fruity. Completely unspectacular.

Bottled, 0.5l. Hazy golden color with small creamy white head and soft carbonation. Aroma of grainy malt, fruity hops and light banana note. Taste starts grainy and is followed by light fruitiness, while finished slightly bitter. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Could be better, but still worth of trying it...
