NEW Autumn 2013: Pale IPA with good bitterness using lots of American Columbus, Chinook, Cascade and Citra for flavour and aroma and dry hopped during fermentation with Columbus, Willamette and Cascade. A bold, hoppy beer you’d expect from Great Heck!

From recently unearthed notes, drank August 2017. Cask at The White Hart, Crystal Palace. Amber pour with a light beige head. Aromas of cirtus, caramel, toffee, quite floral. Flavours of citrus, bitter malts, more caramel. Bitter malty finish. Quite a tasty number.

19/7/2018. Cask at Lady Grey's, Newcastle. Pours pale amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of hops, tropical fruit, pine, caramel, syrup and citrus. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Not that keen to start but definite grower.

Cask at Rose & Thistle, Frimley Green. First: referring to other ratings it looks like I was drinking a different beer or, perhaps more precisely, the cask was stale. Vague grassy pine aroma... just. Gold. Thin bubbly head. Bitter - builds up but only up to a medium. Not getting much fruit, other than one harsh grapefruit and quinine. Medium bodied. Slick. Flats carbonation. Abrupt finish. Let's blame the cask but all rather one noted and insipid.
