Donker kruidig degustatiebier. In dit bier zijn er 8 soorten mout verwerkt. Daarnaast zorgen de kruiden voor een mooie balans. Er werd ook gebruik gemaakt van kruidnageln vanille, koriander, kaneel en jeneverbes. Zeer kruidig bier maar toch mooi in evenwicht. De gebruikte kruiden zijn jeneverbes, kruidnagel, kaneel, vanille en coriander.

Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude and drunk at home. Dark ruby black beer lasting tan head. Liquorice aroma. Some herb. Don?t know what to make of this. Over carbonated. Some brown malt some dark fruits ok beer. Hides abv well. Just not sure what it is . Some blackcurrant dark plum damson.

Bottle (from speciaalbierpakket.nl). Pours dark copper with light brownish head. Aroma is sweet, dark fruits, plums, caramel, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, malt, caramel, some metallic notes, dark fruits, plums, sugar, burnt notes. Finish has some alcohol burn. Overall: okish

Bottle from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. Mid-brown, cloudy and quite flat. Caramel, chocolate, marshmallow, yeasty notes. Some fresh toast and hazelnuts. Simple sweet taste with fudge, more caramel and more yeast. The sweetness goes unchecked until a slight hop bitterness in the finish, but it stays the right side of cloying. Honey, brandy and earthy notes in the aftertaste. Sticky body, and the carbonation stays soft. A little too soft for my liking. Not a bad drop by any definition, but it falls short of the best quads.

Roodbruin bier met veel schuim wat niet erg lang blijft staan. Smaak is zoet en krachtig met iets van anijs, drop en zoethout. Komt iets te licht over voor een quadrupel.

Bottle from Belgoklubben. Brown color with off white head. Aroma of raisin, malt, yeast, wood and spices. Taste is sweetish with dried fruit, yeast, light chooclate. Not bad but nothing I’ll get back to. A little bit mellow and lacks a bit complexity for the style.
