Originally brewed by Ash Vine, then by Heritage when they bought up the rights to the Ash Vine brands, and then contract brewed by Hobdens Wessex for Heritage who sent some beer to Wessex Craft Brewers for bottling. Wessex Craft Brewers changed name to Integrated Bottling Solutions, then to Branded Drinks and appear to have acquired the rights to the brand.

A clean crisp flavoured beer, a beer of two halves.

500ml bottle. Hazy dark amber body with a thin head and firm lacing. Light smell of sweet malts. Taste of malts with a hoppy edge. Fairly dry, bitter finish. Watery impression. However, it should be alright as a session beer for football matces (Oslo, 20.08.2007).

Big offwhite head. Hazy brownish body. Light malty tea and caramel aroma. Sharpish thin resiny caramel and tea taste with watery notes. Dryish papery hoppy aftertaste. Nice, but not much taste. (0.5l bottle from Centra.)

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 4.0%. What the Football Association has to do with this beer, I don’t know - probably nothing at all. Cloudy golden brown colour, decent head. Very moderate aroma, just a hint of toffee and bakery. "Dusty" and fairly dry flavour with some malt, hints of biscuits and toffee, and moderate hops in the finish.

Pours copper colour, with a lingering slightly yellow head. Quite fizzy, which isn’t so good, it needed to be swirled to eat that out. Bitter, slightly juicey flavour, fairly good hop/malt balance. Not much of an aftertaste, a little bit of bitterness. It’s perfectly drinkable, but nothing amazing.

(Bottle 50 cl) Credited to "Integrated Bottling Solutions" as the brewer. Pours a clear amber golden with a creamy, white head. Some nuts in the nose. Light-bodied with accents of nuts, caramel and fruit. Light bitter finish. A classical Bitter. 150306

The aroma is sweet fruity with notes of caramel. The color is a light amber and it has a fine head. The flavor is malty with notes of fruit and caramel. It ends with hoppy and lemon flavor running over the tongue. I wouldn't categorize this as an IPA, but rather a Bitter. An OK beer - but nothing special.
