Filou is a strong blonde beer that is re-fermented in the bottle. Filou is brewed with Belgian and Czech aromatic hops. Therefore this blonde beer offers mild fruitiness and subtle hop bitterness. The result is a strong blonde beer that can be quite naughty, but always without bad intentions. A friendly beer for everyone!

12th October 2025: 330ml bottle at the finish of Keunetocht 2025 130km gravel event, Le Panne. After a ride like this your senses are always heightened, but this definitely bears a good appealing triple sweetness, silky smooth palate. Very nice. Up-rate.
14th July 2016: 330ml bottle. Pours clear gold with large fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet Belgian yeast, sugar. Taste is sweet, yeasty, sugary. Wouldn’t necessarily put it in the tripel camp, more a light, sweet blonde. Unremarkable, but perfectly fine.

On tap at Det Bette Ålhus/Den Bette Ølcafe. A sparkling crystal clear golden colored beer with a dense finger thick white head leaving cute lacing. The aroma is fruity and lightly sugary, with a spiced, yeasty hint and some grass and notes of pine cones. The alcohol is well hidden in the aroma, but in the mouth, especially in the aftertaste, it can be found. It’s light bodied, almost feeling a bit thin, with a very soft carbonation. Semi dry. Fruityness, white sugar, pine cone notes, grass and some cardamom or cinnamon hints. Just that usual vague Belgian hint. The finish is a bit short, mostly on the fruity side. Not a fantastic beer in any way, but it’s an honest and flawless beer that could easily be repeated. 160623

Pours clear, golden and sparkling with a big frothy white head that leaves lacing. The aroma contains grass, malts, citrus and herbs. It tastes medium fruity sweet and medium spicy bitter. Light dry finish. A bit watery in texture. Typical Belgian blonde, very Duvel-like.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 02.2018. Dorée, col fin blanc. Arôme au rétro nasal noble, belge offrant de fines notes citronénes vertes et fleuri. Rétro grains, malt pils, pâle. Palais est centré sur le malté pils accompagné d’une bonne effervescence, le tout met en avant les quasi 9% de cette bière, grains, très belge, monodimensionnelle, sec et crisp sur la fin gardant un caractère fin fleuri. Bon après avoir dégusté des dizaines de versions quasi toute semblable au Zythos, il est temps de retourner boire des bières étrangères qui n’offrent pas tjrs la même chose en bouche.

Bottle, shared by fatphil, thanks. Pours clear golden with whiteish head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is sweet, sugar, alcohol, some fruits, dirty dishrag. Flavor is sweet, sugar,caramel, malt, some vegetables, alcohol. Carbonation is rather high. Alcohol is really noticeable. Overall: drinkable.

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of green apples, malts, light fruity, some alcohol. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, apples, light yeasty, fruity, apple skin, alcohol, hint of lemon, bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Very plain.

Bottle. Aroma: cereal, floral, citrus, grapes. Appearance: golden colour, sparkling and frothy, white foam. Taste: lightly bitter, lightly sour. Palate: full body, average carbonation, long finish. Overall: Nice and tasty, but little yeasty.

tap at Gent in Amsterdam - Pours deep gold with a huge white head. It has a yeasty aroma with a note of farmhouse. There’s a sweet, yeasty, malty flavor with notes of banana and lemongrass. Very enjoyable to me. I’m surprised at the fairly low ratings.
