Aroma of malts, sweet caramel, raisins, some fruitiness. Flavour is malty caramel sweetness, but not too sweet. Mediocre Amber.

Tap at 6th Noord-Holland Bierfestival, Alkmaar: Cloudy amber coloured brew with an flowery taste and hints of caramel. Fine bitter finish at the end.

Bottle at home, dark reddishbrown beer, small head. Aroma is malt, caramel, sweet, fruit, hops. Taste is the same, sweet, caramel, fruit, raisins. Not too bad.
Itnis a dubbel, not a red, and has plenty of the top not h characteristics. Just a bit oxidized or unclean in some stale way that stop it from being great. Boer konig ams (3.6 sept 2022) Again. Very impressed with this one, good beer, upgraded. Bierkonig ams

Uit een flesje in de Cultuurkoepel Heiloo. Donkerbruin, beige schuim. Redelijk. Wat caramel in geur en smaak.

@home poured into a tulip glass. Sweet syrup nose. Clear deep amber colour, fair frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma sweet and roasted malts, caramel, sugar syrup. Taste light light heavy sweet, light bitter, sweet malt, caramel, brown sugar, liquorice. Medium body, oily to sticky texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, burnt sugar, mild speculoos and liquorice root notes. Rather one-dimensional dubbel, decent brew though.

Bottle. Dark amber color. Grainy, wheaty flavor with soft citrus notes. Soft per aroma with yeasty notes. Soft yeasty aftertaste. Hint of alcohol. Decent.

Calls itself Dubbel on the label. Huge, dense and fine yellow head, over veiled deep red-amber beer. Bit (malt)syrupy nose, smelling sweet but not cloyingly. Rainwater, parsly, thyme, coloured malts galore. Sweet, roasted without bitterness, and a short acidic touch. Speculoosspices, liquorice. Spritzy carbonation, medium bodied and quite slick. Long-lasting flavours. Bit easy, no?

Bottle picked up from Gall and Gall, Alkmaar (I think) Netherlands, consumed at home whilst cooking Aubergine Pasta Pie, Tuesday 4th October 2016 Hazy murky brown colour with an off-white head. Soft in the mouth, some chewy toffee and caramel a bit of spice, its ok, but not doing cartwheels for me. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0
