It’s not really a Christmas Tasting in Odense. Amber with a small white head. Malty aroma with a touch of fruit and various spices. Sweet malty flavour with vanilla and cinnamon and other spicy notes

Bottle @ End of the year, Odense Tasting 2012. Pours ruby amber with a small white head. Spices, yeast and alcohol. Lots of caramel and nuts. Sweet malty. Medium bodied.

On draft at spacebar. Pours a hazy amber with a thin white head abd nice lacing. Caramel aroma. Nice toffee and spice flavor. Smooth finish.

12 ounce bottle. Deep amber orange color. Large fluffy beige head. Pleasant toasted malt aroma with hint s of caramel, brown sugar and coconut (?). Soft , smooth toasted malt flavor. What spices are in here are very subtle, maybe cinnamon? As winter ales go, this is pretty tame, yet very drinkable and tasty. Finish is spicy hops, yet rather subdued.

12 fl. oz. Brown colour with a beige head that quickly diminishes. Aroma is malty, honey and caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet, slightly bittery, caramelish. The final is moderate sweet and malty. carbonation and body are medium.

12oz can. My first gusher can. Glowing red-copper-brown body. Steady, foamy, off-white head. A very unique winter beer, sort of like a spiced honey-amber cream ale. Though that may sound undesirable, it really comes together quite well. Smooth creamy body, vanilla tones merge well with the amber malt. Well worth a try or a revisit.

33cl bottle @ home shared with Thompson. Clear amber colored beer with a medium sized off-white to beige head on top. Smell and taste malts, sweetness, some herbs or spices. Low to medium body and carbo.

12 ounce can into pint glass, no canning date. Pours hazy red-orange color with a nice 1-2 finger dense khaki head with good retention that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Minimal lacing on the glass. Aromas of caramel, biscuit, brown sugar, toasted malt, dark fruit, and light spices. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance. Taste of caramel, toasted malt, toffee, biscuit, molasses, raisin, fig, light chocolate, nutmeg, and herbal spiciness. Lingering notes of caramel, molasses, biscuit, and spices on the finish for a bit. Nice and enjoyable balance of flavors. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy and slightly slick mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden at 6.9% with only a slight warming after the finish. Very smooth to drink as well. Overall this is a very nice and enjoyable winter warmer offering. Plenty of enjoyable and balanced flavors.

Bottled @ home, from Burg, Ermelo. Clear amber color, short frothy head. Aroma of a spicy red ale, quite bready malt, cookie and biscuit, spices more often used for winter beers like nutmeg or cinnamon, vanilla, orange. Again quite spicy in taste, but more orange and vanilla. Like a christmas pudding, lots of sweet vanilla. Despite the fair amounts of spices and vanilla, it’s not cloyingly sweet or something like that and actually quite drinkable.
