Appearance: Slightly hazy amber with a huge creamy off-white head and some a nice amount of lacing
Aroma: Toasted malts, vanilla and holiday spices

On tap at TCBF, pours murky brown. Aroma of strong winter spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, coriander). Flavour is essentially the same, with a complex rendition of these spices, executed in a way seldom seen. Really enjoyed this.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with some spicy hints. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with some spicy hints. Has a sweetish malty spciy caramel finish.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a clear dark amber with an off-white head. Intense caramel aroma with some hoppy touches. Medium body, sweet caramel, overripe fruit and a little nuts. Notes of pumpkin pie spices - cinnamon and perhaps a little orange peel. Subdued bitterness in the finish. 090110

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small tan head. Aroma is mild fruity and light roasted beadish malty. Sweet caramelish, toffee and roasted breadish flavoured. Mild sweet, roasted and light vanilla note into the finish.

Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, spicy, vanilla sugar. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. 2005 bottle. A hazed reddish brown ale with a thin off white head. Aroma of spiced malt and stong oxidation, a bit of dog hair. In mouth, there is still some good malt sleft in there, nutty, with notes of ginger, vanilla, not bad...held up good after all these years.

Flavor: Tastes similar to the nose, medium sweet, a good amount of spice/malt flavor, light bitterness to the finish
Palate: This beer has a pretty interesting mouthfeel from the spice, a nice body, and a smooth finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty interesting beer. A really nice flavor profile from a well-blended mix of spices and other flavors. I like what they did here, this one worked pretty well. It's kind of a beer of a different breed, but a beer that is very well-made.

Bottle. Dark red-brown color, lots of bubbles, thin, oily head. Very appealing. Head vanishes into a thin lace quickly. Aroma of sweet fruits, probably cherry, and malt. Taste is malty, with fruit and spice. Lightly hopped. Not too sweet either, with a touch of sourness. Very well balanced. Medium-light body with highish carbonation, so it is light and refreshing feeling. I like it a lot. Cherry fruity without being overly sweet.

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a hazy copper color with a medium head. Average head retention and excellent lacing. Aroma is caramel malts and spices, primarily nutmeg. Taste is toasted malts, caramel, spice and leafy hops. Well balanced and full bodied. Quite nice.
