Winter Solstice® is our take on the classic style of “winter warmer.” Boasting a deep amber hue and rich mouthfeel, its creamy finish will lift your spirits. Hints of toffee, spice, and caramel tease the senses making this the perfect ale to share with friends and family during the cold days and long nights of winter.

Crispy mouthfeel , reminding at sugar .. bit thin, but taste is intense enough . some spices, even a bit reminding at speculaas ( Belgian kind of coockie ) but onley in the background ... Bottle, 12oz. An almost clear amber to brown colored beer with a dense, beige head of moderate size. The aroma is very much on the malty side, with caramel, nuts and some chocolate. Not much hoppyness going on, but it’s detectable. It’s quite sweet on the palate, with lots of malty flavors like nuts, chocolate and last but not least caramel. The bitterness smoothens things out. Vanilla too, else it’s not very spiced, but there’s some. Full body and a suitable carbonation. Lasting malty finish. Sure a pleasant winter beer, tasteful too. 140111

Bottle from the Wildeman, Amsterdam. Poured a hazy dark amber with a thin white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is big malt with a little yeast. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth malt weak alcohol bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. This beer is all about the malt but I’m not complaining!

Smells and tastes spicy and herbal. Has some smooth malt and notes of fruit. Nice, but lacks some depth.

0.355l bottle. Deep ruby red body, white head. Aroma of honey gingerbread, toast and a hint of roastyness. Taste of honey gingerbread, caramel, toast and cinnamon. It has a bit of a floral hoppyness in the finish. Nice one.
