Oh yeah a new Fantôme. 75 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems. No date & the bottle shows that this was clearly made for USA market like pretty much all of his beers. .Pours extremely murky opaque fox orange / brown amber with a quickly disappearing tanned head. Bottom of the bottle is among the murkiest beers I have ever seen, ridiculous. Smells of plaster, overdone BE yeast, slight infections / issues, overripe dark fruits, spices, wild herbs, something faintly moulding,… Tastes of thick BE plaster yeast, candy sugar, malts, minor infections, overdone dark fruits, touch prunes, sweetish, not getting any black pepper which is quite unfortunate. Something bitter mixed with plaster in the back. Slightly sticky, touch over average carb. Sadly neither terrible or phenomenal as hopped from Fantôme nor even weird, this is like 100s of other not entirely okay BE brews. Whilst better than most beer within that category, this is not really what I was hoping for but than again Fantôme never gives you what you are looking for. This just proves that once again. I am probably way over-rating this one.

750mL bottle, courtesy of julian, pours a cloudy dark orangey amber with a huge foamy white head. Aroma of black pepper, lots of yeast and some light funk. Flavour of brett, black pepper, light funk, and lots of yeast. Lots of carbonation, and dominated by the black pepper and funk. Lightly brett yeasty and mildly peppery on the finish. Very enjoyable session Fantome.

750 ml bottle, used a tulip glass. unfiltered amber. White head with excellent retention.  Nose shows indescribable  yeast and spice. Taste of  is mildly funky, with sweet malts. Belgian spice. Body is on the lighter side of medium. Spicy finish. Thanks goes to Wallace for sharing this bottle!

Enjoyed at our beer BBQ. Thanks Wally for bringing this! Enjoyed in a simple tulip at cellar temp. I got the last pour so a bit of sediment made its way in. Best by october, 2013. 750ML Format

A - dark brown, huge amount of clouds due to sediment. Slight head that fades fast.

S - Spicey! tobaco and bright back of the nose feeling.

T - mmm. very deep rich tastes bright peppery spices, cloves and orange peels

M - 40% carbonation. Medium body. mellow consistent finish that stays with you with lemon.

O - Very nice! Really enjoyable and worth seeking out.

Bottle. Pours olive drab. Off white head. Nose/taste of coriander, dried fruits, olive pits, orange zest, sage and yeast. Medium body.

Pours dark copper color with tan head. Fruity and peppery with Fantome aroma. Slightly tart and funky flavors with hints of black pepper. A little citrus. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Not my favorite from Fantome but still good.

Bottle @ chriso. Pours a hazy orange color with a small white head. Has a fruity yeasty spicy aroma. Fruity malty yeasty flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty finish.

ChrisOs ’Donkey Dork Lord’ Pre-GBBF Tasting. Hazy gold beer, big fluffy off white head. Light and crispish palate, semi dry. Seltzer like minerals, a little citrus. Well joined up. One of the better beers from this brewer.
