Bottle. Musty barnyard and black pepper and malt aroma. Clear amber with giant white head. Very funky barnyard, light black pepper, and malt flavor. Bitter herbal finish. Pure Fantôme.

Red-amber colour. Aroma is complex with yeast, wood, hay, white grape, citrus. Flavour has woody dryness and quite a lot of tart, fruity overtones.

75cl bottle shared with Dutchdrebus, Ansjelaah, judyvv and Joes @ weekly tasting. Opaque reddish color, small off-white to beige head. Smell malts, brett, saison-ish. Taste malts, herbs or spices, weirdness, pepper. Don’t like the taste at all, although the aroma is quite decent imo. Not my thing I guess.

12/11/10/10/11/10

Sample @ Stockholm Beer and Whiskey Festival 2013. Hazy amber liquid with small white head. Aroma of bread, white pepper, black pepper, earth, barnyard, spices and grain. Taste is dry, light bitter and light sour with notes of spices, black pepper, white pepper, bread and barnyard. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Not Fantôme’s best beer but still nice (if weird).

Clear dark orange to red beer, aery off-white to beige head, little stable. Aroma: very fruity, sugary, caramel, bit spicy, grapes, apple skin, slightly sourish. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, little sour, apple skin, sweet and sugary as a main taste, little bitterness, fruity notes as well. Aftertaste: little bitter, very fruity, nice bitter hops, lots of citrus, feels alcoholic (which is pretty weird at 4.5%), sourish, sugary again, notes of caramel and toast at the end. A lovely beer, I tell you!
