750ml bottle from trembling madness, York. Shared with jeevan and the Mrs. Pours hazy dark amber, thin ring of white head. Aromas of light sour funk, toffee, mixed spice. Light sweet taste, more spice. Spice lingers nicely, warming me up slightly whilst sat outside in the Scottish summer. Surprising depth for the strength.

Bottle. Cloudy amber body with a frothy, off-white head, mostly lasting. Aroma of barnyard funk, leather, toasted grain, floral hops. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet, lightly bitter and lightly to moderately acidic. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Funky taste of leather and raw flowers with a light tartness in the finish. Different and interesting, especially for its low ABV.

750ml bottle. Almost clear, reddish copper colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Yeasty aroma with a bretty touch, hints of vinegar, grapes, a peppery spicy touch. Taste is dry, minimally tart, minimally peppery spicy, hints of vinegar, grapes, subtle sweetness, caramel malt, clear apple juice, a vineous touch. Rich and complex, especially considering its low abv.

Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Hazy, orangey, copper colour. Clotted cream coloured, thin, lasting, head. Spicy. Nutmeg. Ginger. Honey. Taste is yeasty dry. Sweetness, by way of a golden syrup affair. Spicy, thick, chewy palate. As others have mentioned, no way is this not 8% plus. Loads of flavour. Usual Fantome bonkersness. Love this brewer.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, Belgie, purchased Feb’ 2014 consumed at mums, Worcester, Saturday 5th April 2014 Pours murky brown with off-white head. A light sour fruity (plum skins) flavour with some spiciness. Quite thick mouthfeel, but soft. This tastes quite strong, very warming mmhhh....in fact I do not believe for one minute that this is 4.5%, no way at all, total rubbish. There is a lasting bitter, fruity tang. Really twangy some further heat (from pepper maybe?) a little bittersweet orange, good in fact really good, but I utterly and totally dispute the abv. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov16 3.7

Bottle courtesy of AndySnow. Pours very hazy reddish golden witha small frothy offwhite head that quickly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is fruity and funky with bread, persimmon, lemon juice, barnyard, peaches, mango, hay, dry soil, pepper corns and leather. Taste is slightly sour, tiny bitter, funky and fruity with dark bread, peaches, mango, pineapple, hay, dry soil, barnyard, leather, lemon juice, lemon zest, pepper corns and hints of sour milk. Mouthfeel is dry, slightly tart and medium bodied. Finish is sour, tiny bitter, fruity, funky and spicy with crackers, dark bread, barnyard, leather, lemon juice, unripe tropical fruits and dry soil. Classical fantome funk with a nice brett element to it. Enjoyable...
