Almost clear amber color and a nice white head. Nose of Belgian yeast, toast and spices. Taste follows the nose. Couldn't guess the spices. Dry.

Bottle bought in Luxemburg 🇱🇺. Fruity spicy nose. The beer starts very dry with parts of funk and cellar yeast. Deep creamy with an intense bitterness. Funk in the back, creamy yeast, bitter grainy funky finish.

A wonderfully well-balanced beer. The mildly sweet malt provides hay and dry grass base with a light, firm, but not overwhelming, spiciness. Very drinkable. Don't be afraid of this pepper.

Bottle. Color: Orange amber, large frothy off-white head. Aroma: Herbal and spicy, Saison yeast. Taste: Herbal, peppery spice notes, yeasty. Floral and citrus notes. Nice above moderate to medium hopbitterness, moderate to above moderate sweet. Light funky hints. Firm hopbitter mouthfeel at finish. Medium body, below average carbonation. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Another very nice Fantôme

Bottle at Mother Kellys. Aroma is pepper, booze somehow, bruin type flavour, caramel, light hoppiness, bit of chocolate. Feels boozy which is pretty interesting.

LCRBM2: Malty aroma and flavor. Anis and pepper. Bitter aftertaste. Please Dany, you have a talent for brewing. Use it to brew beers in which herbs are used with a gentle hand or preferrably not at all used.

One of the countless spiced Fantôme variations, with black pepper in this case; brewed for the Burgundian Babble Belt, like the famed Babillard from years ago. Thanks to Johan for sharing! Thick and foamy, egg-white, stable, mousy head, only slowly breaking in the middle, on a cloudy peach blonde beer with near-amberish tinge. Classic estery Fantôme nose: dried apricot, soggy sweetbread, cloves, pepper indeed but not necessarily black peppercorns, damp straw, banana peel, pineapple, dough, linseed, old dry cheese crust, apple, freshly cut grass, soap, ripe pear. Fruity onset, estery peach, banana and pear aspects, lively carbonated in a soft, refreshing way, sweetish but restrainedly so, soft ‘fluffy’ malt breadiness (feeling fuller than its ABV would suggest) with thinly nutty- and rusk-like edges, bit soapy, ending with strong spicy phenols (cloves, cumin seed) accentuated by a noticeable dry peppercorn effect which nevertheless refrains from becoming very prevalent – I probably wouldn’t even have guessed its presence if I hadn’t known, though ‘an’ added spiciness in general is of course clear enough. Lingering, long, gently drying, earthy and leafy hop bitterness also accentuates this pepper effect, rounding things off into an earthy and bready, but also very quenching and refreshing finish. This is about as Fantôme as Fantôme gets – no big surprises here, but a trustworthy, colourfully fruity and spicy saison worth recommending if you want a classic example of this brewery’s style.
