Bottle from Argoβs, Stromness. Pours clear mahogany, short-lived off white head. Aromas are demerara sugar, fruity, mixed spice. Taste brings a herbal note. Medium body, sticky texture, sweet finish. Not bad.

Bottle at International Great Beer Expo (Meadowlands). Reddish amber color with white gead, honey aroma, high carbonation, distinct honey flavor with longish finish. The honey aftertaste was quite strong.

330ml bottle. Pours a deep dark brown colour, foamy beige head leaving lots of lacing and aroma of caramel malt, hint of chocolate, raisins & dark fruits. Taste is sweet malty caramel, toffee, raisins, fruity, alcohol with slight grassy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium to full bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry warming finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottles from The Beerhive, and bottle from Strachanβs of Aboyne (great price at Β£3.40). Clear ruby body with a thin off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of cereal, brown sugar, syrup and fig. Flavour of honey, nuts, lightly roasted malt and apple strudel. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Sweet and warming.

11.2 oz bottle. Aroma is caramelly, wet stone, alcohol. Pours slightly hazy amber with a two finger beige head with good retention. Taste is sweet and boozy with flavors of caramel, raisin, banana, oxidation; aftertaste is a little tart. A bit too boozy for my tastes.

0.33l bottle. Dark amber body, light beige head. Aroma of caramel, booze and raisins. Taste of caramel, toast, ripe cherries and peppery booze. The alcohol is a bit too harsh for me, but still a nice beer.
