22 oz bottle poured and shared by Tcon. Thanks. Awesome name. Awesome bottle. Awesome beer. Don’t need to say much more than that but I will anyway. Rating #2001. The year the Mariners set a record (tied) for most wins in a regular season. Pours a near black with a patchy bubble head. Chocolatey, slightly soapy aroma. Flavor is robust. Mellow chocolate with a sturday malt finish. Overall an awesome blend of great beer, but I still like the bottle better.

Shared by tcon. Bomber, black beer. I thought this would suck. But it’s not bad. Does taste like imperial stout mixed with something else. It’s sort of roast but not. It’s not sweet, it’s not boozy, actualy medium bodied. Dark malts but not too roasted with lightly sugary maltiness. Light, short finish.

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a medium tan head. Aroma is very complex, with roasted malt, chocolate, a little caramel, and with big bourbon barrel notes. Flavour is decadent, with loads of roast and bourbon upfront, followed by chocolate and caramel. Quite the big vanilla component too. Huge body, with everything in impeccable balance. Fantastic.

650 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate head. Aromas of burnt sugar. light spice and bourbon. Flavors of dark caramel, bourbon, fat sweet malts, and rye bread. Big and smooth. Great stuff.

Bottle - Boozy sweetness on the nose. Jet black with a nice brown head. Sweet chocolate and caramel notes and a rich palate. Unfortunately this whole thing is dominated by barrel and some boozy notes.

This is super dark but some brown edges. light coffee head. Looks like an imperial stout. This aroma is super chocolate forward and a lot of burnt coffee and wood. Almost creamy mouthfeel. A lot of burnt tastes and a lot of roast and wood and burnt taste. not much whiskey here, some marshmallow but very roasty.

Poured from bottle black pour with a thin white head. Aromas of dark fruit vanilla malt and caramel. Taste follows aroma with a nice lingering alcohol finish.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours black with a slight dark tan head. Aroma is sort of smoky chocolate. There’s a lot of booze in the air. Full bodied. Flavor is smoky, chocolate, dark treacle, some not too objectionable heat, and wood aspects. Think the Scotch submerged the Bourbon. It’s actually a bit bitter, and it is rather far from dry. Somehow in the finish it acquires a flavor I can best describe as whisky. Love this stuff!

Oak, whiskey, peanut, and nougat nose, varied but not strong. Black, thin beige head. Fudge, whiskey, charred oak, walnuts. Medium, soft carbonation. I love the bottle label, but then again Clown Shoes always delivers good artwork and usually good liquid.

From a 22 oz bottle at Birch & Barkey DC. It is a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is scotch and the taste is whiskey with after tastes of plum and some hints of black licorice
