Amber Lager 12°

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Hazy amber color, small white head. Smell and taste some malts, some overripe fruits, (over)ripe plums, light to moderately sweetish. Average body and carbonation. Not bad and actually quite surprising the way it tasted.

Bottle @ benzai. Amber colour with a small off-white head. Smells sweetish, raisins, malts. Tastes malts, some herbs, nothing crazy, slightly floral. Don’t know what to think of this one. Not bad but I don’t really like it.probably the floral part. Medium body, soft carbo.

Bottle thanks to Summer Secret Santa - a Polotmavy tick, awesome! Pours clear coper, large fizzy beige head that actually settles down to a nice amount of creamy residual and decent lacing. Aroma is malty, nutty, hints of dark bread and faint metal. Flavor is medium sweet, caramel and bread, a weird juniper herbal thing going on as well as some metal. Medium body, pretty high carbonation. Not where its at for me, but super happy to get the style tick.

Tap at Salon Piva. Amber color with medium off-white head. Caramel, red fruit, floral hops in aroma. Taste, caramel, roasty notes, burned sugar, some fruitiness.

Tap at the brewery. Aroma caramel, metallic yeast. Hazy amber-brown colour, stable head. Taste is centered on malt. Caramel, a touch of roasted/spicy. Hop bitterness slowly moving forwards towards the finish. One league better than Ceský, but still got a lot of space to improve. Promising base. Somewhat thim body.
