Bottle. #102676. Rich amber beer with a dark cream head. Red fruit and malt aroma. Malt and light caramel flavor with light dark fruit. Medium bodied. Malt and caramel lingers with light dark fruit and light earth.

Appearance: Clear nutty color with a fine tan head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Mild sweet malty, fruity and oak.
Palate: Medium + body. Ok bitterness and a bit sweet. Average to soft carbonation. Oily texture.
Taste: Caramel malty, toffee, raisins, nutty and fruity. Some alcohol coming up in the end.
Overall impression: Tasty nice sipper.

500mL bottle, pours a clear copper with a large beige head. Nose brings out toasted nuts, toasted banana chips, English malt, and toasted caramelized bread. Flavour is similar, bringing out what reminds me of banoffee pie, with caramelized bread, banana, English malt and noticeable alcohol heat. Great mix of flavours, with a warming finish from the alcohol. Great stuff.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - No 028209, from Alko, 20140222) The beer poured deep copper coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized, almost white and it lasted long. Aroma had malts, molasses, toasted nuts, caramel and sweet hops. Palate was medium bodied and dryish with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, molasses, caramel, toasted nuts, sweet hops malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had malts, toffee, sweetness and bitterness. The beer was too young but it already showed a nice aging potential. When the harsh sweet components have softerned the beer will very likely be a real enjoyment to drink.

Bottle @ joes (mini vertical). Clear amber to copper colour, small off-white head. Smells glue, alcohol, malts. Tastes malts, caramel, hay, barley wine. Medium body, dry feel, crisp carbo.

Bottle shared by Joes @ weekly tasting. Vertical 04-09-10-11-12-13. Clear rusty reddish color, small off-white head. Smell malts, sweetness, some alcohol and overripe fruits. Taste malts, overripe fruits, leaves, slightly sweetness, but also some bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Quite nice. Like it.

The bottle no. 29071. A very beautiful beer, colour is dark reddish brown, a head is medium and creamy. The nose is quite sweet, dried fruits, orange marmelade and some caramell and herbs. Taste is rich of malts, dried fruits, some wood and caramell, nice bitterness for drying the taste. Almost full bodied, still easy and slippery to drink. At least a fresh as now, this year’s Vintage 2013 isn’t so good as a one year matured 2012 version. This isn’t so rich of nuancees. Tastefull anyway, nice winter warmer.

Part of a vertical comparison, many thanks to M & L V.!. Small tan head; orange-amber beer. Sweet, banana, caramel and toffee. Liqueurish flavours, caramel in force, parsley and lots of alcohol. Finish is utterly sweet, on the edge of cloying. Slick, alcoholic, viscous. Probably too young for such a powerful ale, might be better in a couple of years.
