The 2013 Fuller’s Vintage, our 17th edition, is brewed with four of this year’s finest hop varieties: Goldings, Sovereign, Challenger and the trophy-winning Admiral. WIth a dry spring and wet summer, we have chosen a winter barley wich, when combined with our unique yeast, gives a rich and complex result.

Bottle no 53835. Pours clear amber-red with small very light tan head. The head disappears immediately. It has intense aroma of fruits, apples, sweetness, and hints of alcohol. Taste: strong "fresh" bitter kick, sweet, a little bit fruity, noticeable alcohol. Finish has long a little bit lingering bitterness. Overall: less fruity and less sweet than 2012 version; also it isn’t as well balanced. It may get better after some time.

Bottled@omhper. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, mild alcohol, some slight floral notes as well as some malts to it as well. Flavour is sweet fruity and floral hops with a good malt profile to it. Balanced as such, but not very interesting release this year.

Bottle at SB cons 2013-10-19 Göteborg, Bottle 063982 AR: caramel fudge, wee bready AP: orange amber, high frothy crème caramel colored head - quite steady F: full bodied, caramel fudge, medium carbonation and bitternees, cookies, brittish dry fruits, all flavours are wage ecxept the caramel fudge ,,,, some dryness

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear amber, small head. Caramelly nose with raspberry esters. Mid sweet with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Salted fudge, wild strawberry. Quite bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours orange with a small white head. Aroma has got notes of pumpkin, honey and cinnamon. Taste has got notes of marzipan, butter and wet grass. Ends quite bitter and with a mall but distinct dryness. As others have pointed out: quite simillar to sherry. Still too young.

500ml bottle No. 086939 from Fullers online shop, rated 21Sep13. Pours a clear copper orange-amber colour, bubbly beige head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of malt, nutty & fruity. Taste is malty, some caramel, sweet dark fruity with a warming bitterness and earthy & alcohol notes. Slick oily mouthfeel, medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. Quite drinkable.

One third pint poured from cask at the Fuller’s Bar, Great British Beer Festival 2013 on the first day. A slight haze to a dark amber coloured body. A beige ring to the rim of the glass. Rather restrained aromas of earthy malts and herbal hops. Prominent taste of fruit cake with ingredients of different dried fruits, caramel, dark leaves, berries and warming alcohol. Bittersweet tail. Full bodied. Smooth, oily textured. A bit sherry-like. Very nice and it’s supposed to get even better in a few years’ time (London Olympia 13.08.2013).

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2013. Poured a hazy dark ruby colour with a thin off white head. Aroma of dark fruit, caramel and a slightly sharp unripe fruit note. Flavours of dates, raisons, figs and molasses. Leaves with toffee, burnt sugar and some pine. Not bad, but it seems a bit of a shame to waste some of this by dispensing it too young in a cask.
