Bottle 65 cl. Pours a cloudy, reddish brown with a small, beige head. Nose is a little mousy and nutty. Not overly rich in body, fairly dry and very hoppy, with a solid late bitterness. Not the most complex Barley Wine and a bit rough on the bitterness. 120816

Bottle at tasting. Dark brown copper color. Aroma of raisin, caramel and sweet malt. Flavor of sweet raisin, brown malt and lots of sweet caramel. Too sweet, thin and just a bit boring.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus, Joes and Ansjelaah. Nice dark red color, average to medium sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, sweetish, hops, resinous hops. Taste malts, hops, slightly leaves and iron, overripe bitter fruits, heavy bitter fruits. Good body and carbonation. Yeah I like it!

Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours coppery brown with a bege head. Aroma is brown sugar with suggestions of burnt cookies and maybe rye. Flavor sort of like that with a little chocolate. Heat is noticeable. Has some bitter that might be hoppy. Far from the typical sticky sweet. A little different, but good.

Bottle 22 oz. (0.65 l). Mahogany color with beige foam. Pleasant aroma: malt honey, a little smoke, dried plums, dried fruit, raisins, caramel, toffee, vanilla, port and alcohol. Taste multi-layered: sweetness of nectar, raisins, dried figs and toffee, alcoholic (bourbon?), hop bitterness. Unbalanced bittersweet, but interesting beer.
