Bottle from beernavigator. A strong hopped belgian blond ale. Pours with a huge head, straw, slightly cloudy. sweet and sour nose, lemon, lemonthyme, grain, pineapple and yeast. Lots of warming alchohol, sweet but with a lemon tratness. Very little bitterness, grainy, sweet white wine. A bit astringent and odd and the hops are not very appearent. But it also sticks out in an interesting way.

Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of hops, sweat, grass, hay, old hay, and resin. Bitter malty flavour. Sweet finish, cloying, bitter notes.
Drinkable, though not very exciting. Nice idea, but too many of these ’hopped up’ Belgian beers from the bigger breweries just miss the mark.
(Draught @ Cafe De Deut, Nijmegen)

Bottle at Cafe De La Gare, Den Haag. Poured a hazy medium amber with a huge frothy white head. The aroma is major hoppy with lots of grass. The flavour is medium bitter, grassy, with lots of hops and yeast. A true Belgium meets the UK/US/Denmark (delete as appropriate) beer. Similar to the Duvel Triple Hop Citra. I’m not sure which one I prefer.

Has a ’green’, fresh hoppy aroma. Very fresh taste too. The hop is present but not overly bitter. The alcohol is well hidden. A bit sticky on the lips.

heard about this trough.. a non-beerdrinking student ? wtf? anyway, my bottle says something completely else than the description given here. as far as i understand from the bottle, this version of hopus is with younger hops ( januari untill april ) .. well, anyway, poured into my hopus glass. fuck the yeast-glass, i just put everyting into the glass. non shaken. like i drink all my beers. yellow colour, foam is the same as the regular hopus ( wich i , btw, do not realy like ) way more hoppy smell than the hopus ( ive hadf it 2 times, but i dont know wether it was fresh and im sure this one is , so that might be part of diffrences as well ) WAY more hops in the taste ! regular was ( to me) a belgian blonde alme with a hint of hop, this is realy hop forward ( in bitterness) with a sweet (belgian blonde ale kind of) sweetness. not an IPA taste, but exactly that bitter, if not more. carbo is sharp and high, but does not realy bother. aftertaste is fading hops, while the belgian blond beer - caracter comes more to front. overall way better than hopus. i’d drink this again, maybe, if not to expensive. but hey, the hops are finaly ( FINALY) getting known by the belgian beer market. after duvel tripel hop ( 2013 was delicious ) palm hopper ( this year renames to hop selection, both are LOVELY) i must say there’s just way better on the same market, with the same prices, and the same availability. either way , i thought of it way worse.
