Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy amber body with an off-white head. Average carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of rust, earth and caramel. Slightly watery flavour of metal, brown bread and melon. Faint spice. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft carbonation prickle. Easy drinking but dull.

Clear amber with decent off-white head. Lots of hops, with piny and fruity character. Light toast, rye bread, deep vegetal bitterness. Medium to thin bodied, with great dry feel that works great. Good carbonation too.

0,33L bottle, bottled on 25.11.13. Pours clear golden with nice white head. The head stays. Aroma is mild caramel, citrus, lemon. Taste: caramel, mild fruits, watery, slightly metallic. Finish is mild bitter with slight acid notes. Overall: another watery hoppy beer. I’m not a big fan of these kind of beers.

4.5% bottle from CBB, roughly 500 yen. Served in a pint glass. It pours a light honey brown with a thin fluffy white head & a lovely fruity hoppy aroma. I guess this is supposed to be their take on an American hopped English Bitter. The taste mouth-puckeringly bitter, acerbic, pine, some dankness & a bit of the caramel malts struggling to shine through. If you like bitter not so complex beers this is for you, for me it is just average & not to style. Ok.

(tap)cloudy orange amber colour with a small white head; aromas of citrus, sweet fruit; surprisingly predominantly sour flavour (makes me wonder if it went a bit bad) with a long light bitter finish

Draft at the Exmouth Arms, London on 21 September 2013. Poured a lightly hazy pale amber colour with a medium white head. Malty aroma with redcurrents and berries and some grassy hops. Initial flavours of caramel sweetness, white grapes with some citrus hops in the mix. Ends with some dry, crisp grains, spruce hops and lingering toffee sweetness.

Rating number 1000. Because I’m bereft of Boefts I decides to celebate? with a De Molen beer. Cheers. Aroma is tangy tangerine with hints of peach. Orange / light amber pour with a slight haze. Persistent just off white head. Flavour is orange leave, light musty funk. Crisp chalk in the finish. Slight tart. Palate is light and finishes dry, which leaves me wanting a little be more. Malts a little cake like, but get out of the way of the ranage hop.
