Black ale with a very nice chocolate, coffee, licorice and dark caramel flavor.

A very nice full bodied ale with a warm finish delicately characterized by the refreshing green pepper corn aroma.

Bottle at home, 28th October 17. Pours black. Aroma is chocolate. Taste is cocoa, chocolate, slight vegetable, slight spice. Not bad, not as much flavour as I expected.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours very dark brown with light hazelnut foam, very fine and fluffy. Aroma is rich: hazelnut first of all, coffee, chocolate, roasted malt. Body is medium with a nice carbonation. Taste is even better than aroma: nice sweetness in the start, which is soon joined by a pleasant bitterness. Finish is long and wonderful with a persistent chocolate feeling.

Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles’s place. Thanks Tom L. Dark brown with tiny floaties. Aroma of chocolate, some dark fruits, yeast. Sweetish-sourish flavor, with some bitterness, roast, dark fruits, coffee, yeast. Medium-bodied. OK, so-so.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Pours deep brown with a minimal cappuccino head. Aroma of dark chocolate, mocha, alcohol. Flavour is medium sweet, quite balanced, a bit watery. Medium body, low carbonation. So so...

Bottle from Panino Buono, Como; batch 56, bb 08.2017
Some aroma of roasted malt and cigarette/cigar. The mouthfeel is drier than expected; some dark caramel, chocolate, smoke hint, medium to low bitterness, short final.
Simple.
