Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is brown malts with fruity hops, grapefruit, tropical, citrus, some roast, oats, orange, pine, and a hint of chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet with a bitter finish. Medium bodied. A very fine example of the style.

kihoskh#12 Did this pour green? i think so.. settles black. head is white and green. SO strange Aroma is pine and grapefruity hops and then quite a lot of crisp non-sweet hard roasted malts. a bit flowery. flavor is flowery, hoppy, roasted malty. slightly herbal. passable flavor for a black ipa but far from the best i've had. it's like the hops and the roasted malts never really meet up and make something coherent out of themselves.

330ml bottle thanks to MonsterMagnet. Pours black, medium off-white topping. Aroma is coal-fired pine, continuing to taste, robust roast, good pine, with an interesting zesty side. Havent had a black IPA like this for a while. Decent.

Bottle at home from Sterk, Amsterdam, 10th November 18, pours a murky, cloudy dark brown. Aroma is tropical fruit, cocoa, chocolate. Taste is sweet, circus, cocoa, slight bitter hit, chocolate orange, nice BIPA

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Citrusy hoppy aroma, notes of grapefruit, lemon, orange, orange zest, some pine, roasty dark malty background with notes of dark chocolate, hints of coffee. Taste is roasty, chocolately, dark malty and bitter, piney and slightly citrusy hoppy, notes of dark chococlate, hints of coffee, zesty hints of orange; oily to creamy texture, smooth, soft and silky palate. Very nice!

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of chocolate, bitter malt, peach and herbal citrus. Taste has chocolate, creamy bitter malt, oat, pine, licorice, grapefruit and bitter herbal hop. Bit hopburn om finish. Could use more fruit hop character, but it's nice.

Bottle @ home. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium to full sized light brown colored head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, hops. Simply good. Taste malts, dark malts, nicely hoppy again, fruity hoppy even. Hmm mainly in the beginning though, after pouring in the second half of the bottle the flavor becomes more malty, brown malts, lightly hops and mainly malt bitter. Decent to medium body and carbonation. Solid beer nonetheless.

Draft @ Taplokaal Gist. Roasted malts, cattle food, brown malts, chewy. Medium bodied. Very nice.
